SpaceGrid

Ground station infrastructure

Ground stations, funded and built for the networks that run them.

SpaceGrid funds, builds and owns satellite ground stations in Greece, for ground-network operators to run as part of their networks. Operators add coverage without tying up capital. We take care of the antennas, the site and the team on the ground.

Who we are

Infrastructure for the space economy, on the ground.

SpaceGrid is a ground segment infrastructure company, developing its first satellite ground station in Greece. We invest in antennas and sites, build them to operator standards and maintain them with a local team.

Ground networks grow by adding sites where their customers' satellites pass. We provide those sites and antennas, so operators can spend their capital on customers and services instead of steel and concrete.

Built for the long term

We own the infrastructure and design and maintain it to serve missions for years.

To your specification

Antenna sizes, frequency bands and equipment match the network they join, so a new site fits in from day one.

A team on the ground

Maintenance, security, backup power and connectivity are handled on site, in Greece.

How it works

The antennas behind Ground Station as a Service

A satellite in low Earth orbit passes over any one place for only a few minutes at a time. To send it commands and download its data, its operator needs antennas on the ground, ready at the moment it rises over the horizon.

Most satellite operators rent that antenna time from ground networks, as Ground Station as a Service. Those networks need more sites in more places. SpaceGrid builds and owns the antennas, and the network runs them and sells their capacity.

  1. 01 / SPECIFY

    Match the network

We agree the antenna sizes, frequency bands and equipment with the partner network.

  2. 02 / BUILD

    Fund and build

SpaceGrid funds, builds and commissions the antennas and the site.

  3. 03 / OPERATE

    Run and maintain

The partner operates the antennas within its network, and our local team maintains the site.
